How does park hopper work?

Just wondering how it works. I'm going August 2023 and we've just made our park reservations. Do we need to book another park if we park hop or do we just turn up at another park after 2pm?

No, you just scan into your second park after 2pm.

You must however have scanned into your first park before trying to hop.

Buses run from park to park after 1.30pm.

Have an amazing time! We have just returned and whilst it was busy we still had a fab time. Shout up if you have any other questions ☺️

Can I jus ask the same question from another thread that seemed to get lost as I get different opinions fron different vloggers

After 2pm can you scan into the next park you hop to and then hop again later to another park (If we are stopping in the Boardwalk area we like to finish the night with a walk and a late snack and drink in epcot even if we have done two other parks in the day)..

Thank you, so for example if we are at Epcot and decide to go to Magic Kingdom after 2pm that's fine even if its showing as full?

We're staying at Caribbean Beach resort and can't wait. I have to stop myself getting too carried away at the minute though as were going to DLP in 29 days. Next year is our first time ever going out of Europe plus my OH and our 2 boys first time on a plane 😍

I think you can only hop if there is availability (though I cant imagine it being a major issue after 2pm other than seriously busy peak days)

Thank you. We're going the last 2 weeks of August which I've heard is usually a little quieter.

Yes you can hop to whatever other park you like after 2pm even if you couldn’t get a reservation for that day.

On our recent trip we visited all 4 parks on our last day, so yes scan into your second park after 2pm then another and another if you like.
