It looks like they are acting as an agent. Had a go for my dates and it was offering a car from Sixt - but in dollars, which likely means it doesn�t have the required insurance for UK renters (assumes you are US resident with your own insurance).

Thought it might be peer to peer rentals - but doesn�t look like it (they would have same insurance issue though).

Good point re insurance.
It just seemed easier for a short 24 hour rental to arrange it through their app.
