Cooling towels

Do these actually work in Florida heat?
I can’t seem to understand how in such high temperatures, surely the water soaked towel will just become warm?
If you find these useful, how do you use them and how long do they last in a day?

Yes they work but so would any towel beat bet to buy a large travel towel and cut it up.

The best simple way to keep something cool is to cover it in a wet cloth the heat will evaporate the water before hearing what is underneath it

I wasn’t quite right on how the process works safeopedia/how-do-co...ls-work/7/8056

I bought one last trip which was during august and it helped a little but you had to run it under cold water and ring out often.
It was ok but I wouldn’t spend a lot on one.

Yes the problem is that they need to be damp not wet and this does need to be addressed regularly.

Don't do what some inconsiderate people do and wash them out and then put fresh water on them over a drinking fountain. Disgraceful.

Edit. My Wife has just told me she has seen people dipping them in the iced water where they sell soda bottles from.

We bought 2 from Costco and they were great. Run under restroom cold taps for a quick coolness boost.

We took them on our last trip which was in August. First they pack very small, ran them under water, snapped and drapped them over the back of our necks. Definitely felt cooler with them. We bought cheap ones from Amazon
