iRide for 10 days or car?
Hi, when the wife and I first came to Florida we were under 21 so used the iride up and down plus taxis. Been with the 2 kids 3 times since and always had a car and stopped in a villa.
This time (21 days and counting) we are staying at the Rosen Inn International on International Drive so am thinking do we really need a car? Only plan to do one Disney (HS) and all 3 Universal's this time. Car hire seems to have gone very high since 2019 when we last went. We get free transfers from Melbourne airport anyway so could just hire one for 5 days perhaps? Just think might be a lot of standing around waiting for a bus in the July heat whereas we could be in a nice air-con controlled car? Trying to be thrifty this time as wasn't planning on a holiday this year but deal was too good to turn down at. Tui. |

Do not use the iride trolley, it never turns on time they overfill the buses and they have the most uncomfortable bench seats you could ever imagine - they do have very friendly drivers however. Get a lynx bus pass the no42 and no8 cover idrive corroidor there more frequent and has buses so big never overly crowded it’s $2 a trip but u can buy passes online (7 day unlimited pass is $16) and they will post free to the uk

We never hire a car, more than happy to use the iride and the transport provided by the hotels! Plus, I couldn't bring myself to pay the parking charges!

Hi, also agree about using the Lynx buses rather than the trolley, they run to a timetable and much more frequent. You can also go further afield and we bought a day pass which was valid for 2 days.
