New car delivery times

We have decided not to bother looking for a new car in the next year or so even though we had planned to change ours! Friends hubby wasn't even allowed to order his Kia EV6 last month apparently - has now ordered it and told it will be at least September!

I ordered a Focus ST a couple of weeks ago and it’s showing as a June build date. Dealer said that can come forward or move back, I’m expecting the latter to be honest.

Mrs Novo ordered a new mini cooper in Jan still on schedule for early April delivery last we heard

I enquired about a VW T-Roc last summer and was told 3-4 months so left it. Then a dealership in Scotland received a delivery of various VW models January which they’d ordered 12 months previous which I bought one from stock and had within the week. It was a 6 hour each way trip to collect and drop my old car I was trading in but I’ve got the car i want even though it was a long day! Hubby says it was the worst day of his life doing that trip but I’m happy 😂
They’re quoting 12 months wait for new build cars now.

I live in Oxford where the minis are built and they have just shut down for 2 weeks as they can't get the parts due to the war in Ukraine (they were also shut for a week a couple of weeks ago due to shortage of parts)!

mrs novo hasnt been told this yet... but mini parts come from the ukraine ? dosnt sound right to me mind...

Don't know if it is the parts or the components of the parts - but that is what is being reported! Staff in the factory are not happy as they are not getting paid!

We ordered our Kia e-niro 2 long range back in October. We were told January if we were lucky, but more likely to be February.

It came into the country in late Feb, be left it until last Friday to pick up as the garage agreed to hold it and register it with a 22 plate.

Loving it so far!

We ordered our Range Rover evoque in sept and it arrived at the weekend . We were told 6-9 wait but hybrids are coming through abit quicker

Not a car, but car parts. A neighbours car rolled away and hit the back of ours whilst parked on 16th October. It’s still stripped in the garage waiting for parts to arrive from Germany and we are in a hire car. I’ve been told it’s arriving in 5-10 days, but I have already heard that one, many, many times.
