Except we already knew that, somehow, that certain character had to know Obi-Wan. Otherwise why would that certain character send a certain droid to go and get help from Obi-Wan in the first Star Wars movie?

They've been everywhere doing promos. It was hardly a spoiler that that certain character was reappearing. An image of that certain other character appears on one of the official posters for the show and they are one of the main credited characters.

Without being fussy she knew of him, it was never implied in the OT that they had met. In her hologram message she called him General Kenobi and said “years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars”.

Sorry I’m being a Star Wars nerd.

Ah yes. You are right.

Personally, I didn't mind him meeting that certain character although they were rather annoying.
