The guy who plays Rooster starred in an amazing film called Whiplash. Highly recommend. He is certainly a talented guy.

We saw this yesterday and what an amazing film. Loved it from start to finish. Loved the nostalgia and the opening scene with the soundtrack.
Jennifer Connolly is beautiful and perfect for the role. Rooster - fab casting and a great actor.

Aah, just got home from watching it - without doubt the best film I’ve seen in over 20 years!

I wasn’t a huge fan of the original, but this has gone into my top 5 of all time I reckon! So good! Could easily watch at the cinema again and I rarely bother going to the cinema to see anything! 😂

Loved it all, it's great fun and i was smiling all the way through.

The original is a great piece of MTV cinema, a glossy video with iconic scenes that have seared into the public's consciousness & popular culture. But it ain't a great film. I always thought a sequel was unnecessary.

But i was wrong. This is a brilliant example of a big Hollywood movie with a grown-up story and just a superb cast having big fun (and knowingly so). It's ace.

I loved it so much that I’m going to see it again at the cinema - I’ve never done that!
Loved the nostalgia, but not too much that a new audience wouldn’t get it! Maverick is Tom Cruise’s finest character and it shows. Waited years for this - loved it all!

I love my planes... just back from a weekend at RAF Cosford Air Show watching the real stuff... have to admit even though the flying sequences are superbly filmed... all that was missing from the plot and storyline was an alien spaceship to joing in the fun... almost a rehash of the Dambusters except... that actually happened... talk about CHEESE... yeah good fun I get it but Dumbo was far more believable..

I like Cruise as an actor... personally for me this is nowhere in the same class as Born on the 4th July, Jerry Maguire, Color of Money, A few good men and Rain man...
