So Disney studios this morning. Managed to do Ratatouille, Parachute drop and Cars road trip, had a Lightening McQueen cheese toastie for lunch, DGD got face painted then we went to see the Mickey and the Magician show ( and didn’t pay for it!)

We did try for the 12 o clock show, turned up at 11.15 but the que was massive. We just decided to wait and try for the one o clock show, had a little stroll and got some snacks. Got back in the que at 12 and just waited.

The show was good, not Lion King good, but DGD enjoyed it, especially Let It Go!

We were planning on doing the hot air balloon but it’s off for the rest of the day. Not sure why, the weather is lovley.

We’re off to Paris tomorrow so hopefully we can do it Thursday or Friday.
We’ve sat outside and had a couple of beers at the Bleecker St Bar in the hotel, the weather is lovley!

Off to Rainforest for early tea then maybe a couple of hours in the Disneyland Park. DH already saying he would come back as long as he can stay in the Marvel Hotel! He already bought the tee shirt!

So Rainforest was just ok. Got the Volcano dessert just for effect but the sparkler went out before we got a photo! Never mind, it was actually pretty nice, and we got a big sharing platter to start which was also nice.

DIL had a coconut shrimp dish, she said the coconut was too overwhelming, DS had ribs he said they were lukewarm, I had pulled pork burger which was ‘ok’, DH had fajitas he said they were lovley!

We nipped into Disney Park for a bit, got premier pass for DGD and DS only €5 each so not too bad for 55 min Que!

I decided to stay in the park a bit longer, everyone else went home. I’ve never been on a ride on my own before but it was actually ok!

Had two goes on Pirates, both walk on, it is so much better than WDW! Especially the bit where the pirate swings overhead and going through the caves, it is so well done.

Feeling brave I jumped onto Star Tours, a five minute wait. Also had a look in the Christmas shop, absolutely nothing in there I would put on my tree!

I think I might get a Christmas Mickey from there and put it under the tree with my other Christmas plushies, I have to get SOMETHING!

Anyways off to Paris today, got a reservation for Empire State Lounge for dinner tonight, same menu as Downtown buffet, so looking forward to that!

Yesterday was our Paris day. It was something DIL really wanted to do, the rest of us weren’t that keen, but of course we didn’t want to spoil her day so merrily went along with it.
We booked a taxi with Prestige Transport, they were great. Picked us up on time both ways, comfortable 8 seater van, provided a child booster seat .

We got their for 12, DS, DDIL and DGD had tickets for the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. DH and I wandered down to the river bank and had a drink!

We went back to meet the others then we all went down onto the river bank and booked one of the one hour cruises, €19 per adult. There wasn’t one due for an hour so we nipped in one of those stationary boats that are a bar / restaurant and had a drink because it was so hot and we needed to get out of the sun. It was actually quite pleasant down on the river bank with a few places to have coffee/ crepes etc.

It was really busy as expected around the Eiffel Tower, lots of security/ police etc. The street sellers were all over with their little Eiffel towers etc, and someone had tried to tie a bracelet around DGDs wrist while they were walking towards security to go up the tower but they got a very firm ‘non!’ from DS!

The river cruise was pleasant, we saw the usual sites like the Louvre and Notre Dame and the cool breeze was very welcoming. Our Taxi picked us up at 6 prompt but my god the traffic coming out of Paris! It took almost 90 mins to get back and I was panicking as we had a reservation for Empire State Lounge at 7.30 and I didn’t want to miss it!

Anyways we made it with 10 mins to spare and the food was really nice and the service exceptional.

Last full park day today, hoping to start early, dinner at Plaza Gardens tonight hopefully followed by the fireworks, and another hot sunny day!

I’m so pleased your day in Paris went well and the taxi worked out well for you. When you booked it, did you book it from your hotel to Eiffel Tower, and if so, did they drop you in a easy location to find for your return pick up? I’m still unsure whether to use the train or a taxi when we go in September.

The desserts look brilliant from your meal, we are big Marvel
Fans and have a booking for Downtown restaurant for our trip and can’t wait to try the Marvel desserts

Yes I was able to WhatsApp them and explained we didn’t know the area at all and we would need to be dropped off and picked up in the same place near the Eiffel Tower. They said that would be fine and that’s exactly what happened, though I did send them a photo of where we were dropped off as soon as we got there, and they responded immediately. They picked us up at exactly 6 pm as requested, can’t fault them really. It was 160 euros return for the five of us, but if course we gave a good tip as it was well deserved. I would def use them again.

Yes I booked it from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower, got a response within a couple of hours, I booked it about a week beforehand. They whatsapped me the night before as well just to confirm the arrangements.
