London weekend - July

Going to be in London for the weekend in July (we have tickets for the mens final at Wimbledon omg we are bringing our adult son and his girlfriend and also our 16yo daughter - we will probably go to Dishoom on St Martins lane for one evening but for the other we would love a really nice Chinese/Japanese in Soho or wider West End any recommendations? (no budget, just nothing pretentious)

See if Hakkasan (they have 2 restaurants, the hanway place one is nearest to soho) have a lunch menu deal.

It’s a Michelin star Chinese.

Not particularly pretentious, more like a cool nightclub.

If not, google London lunch menus and loads of nice restaurants will do 2/3 courses for £25/30 a head in quite nice places.

My DH swears by the Feng shui inn in Gerrard Street in Chinatown. He was always eating there when he was still working down in London.

Agree with Hakkasan, the duck is the best I’ve ever had .. it’s pricey though!

Food was good in Hakkasan but the service didn’t justify the cost. They were too interested in hanging round the rappers and b-list celebs
Have a look at Gerard’s corner or TPT in Chinatown just off Shaftesbury avenue
