Budget hotel in Vegas?
For two adults and two kids?
There are so many to choose from and lots of bad reviews on TA! I’ve looked at the Luxor, The Linq and Flamingo? All are within my price range but mix of positive/negative reviews but that seems to be the case with most hotels there! Edited at 01:37 PM. |

The Luxor is old and tired and too far down the strip imo … it was in line for a refurb then Covid struck
Flamingo again is old and tired but it has a good location … i went in there in December and March and it gets more rundown each time .. Parts of it are grubby imo The LINQ has a good location and it had a total refurb a few years back , of the 3 hotels listed its the best of them by a long way . However kids can’t use the pool there it’s adults only. , If kids want a pool to use they have to use the family pool in the Flamingo next door . We stop off strip each time now , but on the strip my kids really liked Planet Hollywood and NYNY… I did go in a NYNY room in March and it was perfectly fine .. I don’t know when your trip its but vegas hotels rarely have the best prices too far out… |

Not too fussed about the pool. We are only visiting for 3 nights and I doubt we will use it. We go next April.

You are booking way too early for next April, but if you don’t mind the pool situation I would totally choose Linq over Flamingo and Luxor, for the reasons DB has outlined.

Do the prices normally come down nearer the time then? I’m looking at around £400 for 3 nights at the minute.

We will be staying there 4th-7th. Good Friday is on 8th so just before Easter. That price includes resort fees and taxes.

The Carriage House on East Harman. Its a 5 minute safe walk off the strip We will be staying there for the third time in August - no resort fees and no casino. It does have a pool but nothing fancy. They only take booking a few months in advance as it is a timeshare hotel.
I booked a different hotel and booked the carriage house when the window opened. We will have our third stay in August and like you only staying 3 nights to accommodate Red Rock, Skywalk etc. and very reasonably priced.

had 2 weeks in the Luxor over Easter, we stayed in the tower rooms they were immaculate large and roomy with great views. ( therefore avoid the pyramid rooms) he theming will keep the kids interested
Its quiet and has a great pool area, you can get the tram to Excalibur or the Mandalay bay, or use the indoor walkways. The deuce bus stops outside and takes you to the mall one end or freemont at the other and goes along the strip $8 for 24 hrs you can download the app and purchase online qr code scans with driver.. so easy to get up and down the strip. Freemont a bit adult to take kids down, lots of semi naked people with some wearing just a bit of body paint, and they are not particular slim. So i would say Luxor tower rooms worth a stay ( i have visited over 30 times with work and on holiday and this was a grt 2 weeks.) If you look at travel ruby on you tube lots of good tips, we often went to Blondies in the Millennium mall for $3 beers and ocean one across the way same price beer and a cheap and really tasty menu, especially breakfast Everybody has their own favourtes and having stayed in the Wynn, TI, Ballys, stratosphere, Enassy suites (a lot) on paradise, new york new york, Luxor was up there and its safe

Polo towers and jockey club are great, room tax is really cheap, although no casinos. They have separate living space and bedrooms, kitchen facilities and separate laundry rooms to do washing.
Polo towers is next to MGM jockey club across from belagio. You often get suite on villa sites to rent. They are amazing.
