Universal Holywood

Morning,

Just wondering if there is a best way to tackle this park? We are 2 adults and 2 teens. We would like to hit all the main attractions. We have 2 day tickets although I would prefer 1 day and 1 evening if I need to to mop up anything we didn’t get done.

Thanks

Harry Potter Land is the big draw. Its located at the park entrance, its one of the first lands or areas once you enter the park. As a result, everyone crowds in there first thing when they arrive. It gets very crowded very quickly, as the shops are small and the walkways narrow and the wait times for The Castle / main ride Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey get long really fast.

The way I did the park the last time I was there, is to go straight to the lower lot and work your way forwards to Harry Potter Land, the opposite of the crowd flow.

The lower lot is empty in the morning time. We did Jurassic Park, The Mummy and Transformers multiple times in a row as the wait times were so short.

We then came back up and did the studio tram tour and the Simpsons area.

Then around 4pm we went into Harry Potter land and it was far less crowded and we did Forbidden Journey multiple times in a row. We also used the single rider line for Forbidden Journey, which most people don't know about. The only thing with single rider is that you miss all the main queue in The Castle and go direct to the ride loading area.

Our plan is pretty much the same as above although we have never done it. We will hit the park at opening and head to Jurassic World, tram tour etc.
We also have a two day ticket and are hoping the second day will just be mopping up and re rides of our favourites. I don't expect the second day to be anything like a full day.

... Edited to add it's very disappointing to see you both have much shorter countdowns than us

aww hugs. Another tip is when you are going between the upper lot and lower lot. Its actually a bigger distance than you would expect. There are two huge escalators with a viewing area in between the two. There are some amazing views and its well worth the time to take a few minutes break in the viewing area.

Thank you. I have seen that area on some vlogs.
It looks beautiful. I plan on it being one of the places to take a few minutes and actually enjoy just being there rather than rushing around to get everything done!

I think we are always guilty of not taking things in properly and realising how lucky we are to get to visit these places.

oh the excitement is starting to build now... thank you to the Us government for finally seeing sense

Thank you Bad Pink Tink. This sounds like a great plan for us. Personally I will never ride Forbidden Journey again as I was so sick after it 🤢 but good to know that there is a single rider line for the teens as they won’t be fussed about walking through the castle.

I will be sure to stop at the viewing area so thanks for that tip

Have a great holiday yourself

I love universal but not Harry Potter (not a fan of the books or films ) so leave that part out. The park in Hollywood is amazing - you will love it

Thank you, I’m really looking forward to it since we have done Universal in Orlando on numerous occasions, if we don’t do Harry Potter it’s no big deal.
