Virgin - Disney Tickets - Help Please?

Hi,

Just need some advice from someone who has been in this situation.
I have been to Disney before, but not since the need to prebook entry to the Disney parks.
Going in November and purchased my tickets through Virgin holidays but they wont be downloaded on the Virgin website till 13th November.
Does that mean that I cannot prebook any disney days until I can link my tickets on my disney experience app and am I likely to have problems trying to reserve entry to the parks when it is only 14 days before I am due to go?

Thanks in advance

I received an email code from virgin shortly after booking and paying the full balance of the holiday. The code allowed to create a disney account and link my tickets. Then I could book the parks and dining etc.

Hope this helps?

After paying the deposit for our Virgin holiday, I spoke to them about exactly this and what they told me was that we needed to increase the amount we had paid to cover the cost of the Disney tickets. Once we'd done that they would then send us the code that wilmslow3 has referred to and we could use that to link our tickets to our Disney account and make the park reservations.

The process worked - we paid just enough to cover the cost of the tickets and within 24 hours we'd received the details (can't remember if it was by email or if we had to login to their website). We then made all the reservations, so you should be able to do the same thing.

Thats poor from Virgin. At least BA Holidays amd Disney Travel allow you to book park days shortly after you have paid the deposit. You do have to pay for the tickets in full eith BA if you cancel your holiday though, if BA cancel then you get a full refund.
I would never book now with someone that does not give you the ticket codes to book park reservations as soon as I have paid a deposit.

Virgin & others have been "guilty" of this for a long time, even back to 60 day FP+ they were only releasing tickets at 30 days. Back in the day a lot of TA companies used a third party seller - it was Keith Prowse- to source their tickets, these tickets were then held on option with the original TA hanging on to your money for as long as possible (interest) before actually buying them. In this case, if I've "paid in full" then there is no reason for Virgin to not be able to give out those numbers & to be perfectly honest 14 days before is way too late IMO, what do you do if there are no reservations at that stage?

I have just added Disney tickets into a virgin booking for a Disney hotel .
They say I will receive my MDE code in 7 days even if I haven’t paid the balance .
I will keep you posted .
