Didnt they start GOTG after they started this?
They started the building construction way back in 2018 for GOTG as we were there.

When you look at Velocicoaster, the ride, the surroundings, the area, the theming, everything considered, Disney are seriously dragging their heals!

Disney have no need to rush, and will finish things in their own time.

Don’t understand this issue with Disney and completing projects.

They do everything within their own timescale and budget.

yes.. but that has an active movie franchise and was tied in with the Epcot redevelopment project.. It was also an easier build in many ways.. The track/car tech existed as did a building to house a lot of it. Tron needed every element to be built from scratch from the ride to the re routing of the Disney railroad even though it seems the less techy/vehicle coaster ride..

That's a good point, i didnt think about it being alot easier to build. Tron is brand new.. it would take longer

Tron is basically a copy of the same ride they built in Shanghai.

The real reason for the delays is the budget got put on hold when the parks were closed and when they reopened other construction activities were prioritised over Tron.

Tron still has no opening date but must expect it to be open by next summer.

They were testing it last week, not sure how long they've been doing that for, but the inside/grounds are still nowhere near, reckon it'll be next year.
