Prom attire. Son who likes joggers. Help

We let students wear what makes them comfortable, as for trainers- absolutely fine. 👍

My sons both wore suits and shoes, both wanted Navy suits and Next have some great ones with skinny trousers which is the most important thing!
Also, both wore them afterwards for interviews which is what I wanted.
Some wear brightly coloured suits which I’m sure are a ‘one time’ only wear which I wouldn’t want personally.😊

At a recent wedding the groom & ushers wore light navy tweed jackets and plum coloured chinos with brown shoes. Not sure what colour the shirts were but the ties matched the chinos.

Went to our year 11 prom last week - some wearing trainers and suits and some girls wearing trainers/converse with prom dresses. They all looked fab - some guys rocking pink/purple suits, some in blazers, some in waistcoats, dickie bows etc. One girl came in a snow white fancy dress. Whatever he wears will be just fine!

My sons prom was 5 years ago now but he wore black trousers, a blue jacket with black lapels and a black bow tie with a white shirt then black trainer/pumps. It looked great and the shoes were inexpensive and he could wear them again.

Chinos, jeans, trainers or converse. As long as he's comfortable, that's all that matters.
He'll have a great time and it won't matter at all what he's wearing.

Seen some cracking photos the past few weeks (in Scotland so our prom season is now over) and one school in particular had a boy totally outshining the girls. He had a full on orange suit. More of a burnt orange than neon, his skin just glowed. Painfully stylish rather than over the top. Think Shawn Mendes in that burgundy Louis Vuitton suit.

Thankyou all. We popped along to Matalan so he could try in his shirt and blazer with different colour chinos as next never has stick in store.
He liked the grey and Stine but felt it wasn't 'together' enough. The navy matches the darkest of the check so we've actually bought them from Matalan. I will still order a pair of french navy incase they look better but if not he could do with some new chinos anyway.
He's decided he doesn't want black or white shoes. Navy or dark tan, I'm on the look out for a casual shoe, not formal dressy but not trainers hahaha. Bloody hell.
I forgot how good Matalan is, got some bits for our holiday aswell.

Those are both fab. I think I'll get him a pair of those smart joggers just to wear with a nice hoody or T so he looks more pulled together when needs must. I love those tan shoes too, just what I was thinking. I think he said he wanted a darker sole but I'll show him. Thankyou
