We seem to have to plan more and more and much further in advance.
In my plans I’m having a couple of non park days but I’m wondering if I should book parks just incase if bad weather or we change our minds!

I have to book parks for my water park days, so we can go somewhere later, can’t even just go back to parks the kids have enjoyed on a whim, as we won’t know until we get there and they’ve experienced them.

It’s a cack system.

There’s less to plan in advance though. All you do is pick your park, which none of them sell out until a few weeks before your date. The worst parts are all the things you have to do at midnight and then at 7am, all whilst getting ready for the day. Genie+, lightning lane, virtual queues. I’m not looking forward to it in august.

We've also booked park reservations for our rest days, water park days, and for the days when we plan to be at Universal. Hell, we've even booked a park for the day after we plan to fly home, as there was a spare day left on our tickets and we might as well have somewhere to go if the flight is cancelled!

What happens if I book an ADR for dinner (two months prior to trip) and cannot hop to that park on the day of?

Guessing dinner ADR holders will get an automatic reservation maybe.

Seems like overkill to me, but not much of what Disney does anymore makes sense.

Thats one way to charge for something else why annoying everyone again.

So by that standard it probably more than a rumour.

Next disney will want me to schedule my toilet breaks with them.

We originally wanted about 8 days out of our 14 day tickets, but just in case,we have booked all 14 days. I won’t cancel either just in case we fancy popping in on an evening.
After all we may have an illness or car issue and can’t go on the scheduled day. We have more HS days as feel that it’s cheaper for 10 people to pay $25 for parking to go in and queue for a popular ride rather than faff and pay for genie plus.

Won't make much difference to us as we always have a dinner ADR so that determines which park we have to be in for the afternoon.

Secondary options paid for upgrade?
If that happens I am done.
I’d be sceptical of the rumour, but if true it really would be appalling. There’s already too much to be done trying to reserve everything online, it just gets so it isn’t worth it any more.

Exactly. They are Disney gutter press, akin to The Sun etc.

WDWNT have been known to report untrue stories and rumours before. It’s all about generating clicks for add revenue.
