Barbados Car Hire

Hi, we’re just about to book a week in June to Barbados with BA, staying at Waves Hotel and Spa on the west coast.Instead of getting transport to the hotel we thought we’d book a hire car through BA with Avis but I can’t find any information on where it is in Grantley Adams airport.
Has anyone any experience with booking Avis in Barbados or have any other car hire company recommendations?

When we booked a car in Barbados we used a local company Stoutes, we had our car delivered to our hotel as we only hired it for a couple of days. We got a taxi from the airport to our hotel. The one thing we found was car hire was quite expensive compared to what we are used to in the USA.

Can recommend Stoutes - the chap even came straight to my lounger on the beach to do the paperwork and hand over the keys

We’ve used Stoutes a couple of times for one day hire from the cruise
port - good service, nice car.

Stoutes every time... used regularly and never any "silly business" when hiring or returning the car...also good quality vehicles... sadly can't say the same from our experience of other firms on different Caribbean islands.
You used to be able to use Virgin rewards points to book Stoutes cars - not sure if this is still the case ... or whether its a good use of points ?

Driving over there is easy - just like the UK.

Stoutes every time for me and easy to find once you have collected your luggage. Just turn left as you exit and they are there. Takes no time to fill in the paperwork and they walk you over to your vehicle.

We used M.A.H they delivered to our apartment and were very good.I would recommend you book as early as possible as cars get booked up very quickly ( all car hire companies )
