Planning on visiting ESB on Sunday 4th October

Is best to book tickets on the ESB website or can you recommend anywhere better?

Shall we just do 86th floor main deck or should we book for 102nd as well?

As we will most probably be there early in the morning will we need to book the VIP ticket to skip the lines or will it not be needed early on a Sunday?

Any other tips/suggestions would be great, thank you

You're in NY at the same time as me

I think if you can get there early you won't need to pre book. we went up on a whim one evening last visit & there was no queue.

If you did wan't to get tickets though, popping into the ESB a couple of days before is probably your best option, or buying direct online. I wouldn;t buy through a broker as they always add on a couple of $

We only did the 86th floor & it was incredible so I didn't see the point in going higher. One your that high up, I imagine the additional floors don't make much difference to the view.

We were at the ESB for 10am. We didn't book the tickets in advance and there was no queue at all.

We were there a few weeks ago. I had prebooked the tickets (not for a date/time - they are valid for a year) on their website before we went.

We went about 3pm and went straight up - we only did the 86th floor also as we also had planned 2 visits to the Top of the Rock. There were quite a few folk there but as we already had the tickets in hand it meant we had no queuing.

Really enjoyed ESB but actually preferred TOTR as you could see the ESB.

Enjoy

We only did up to the 86th floor, you wont see any more from higher and its enclosed whereas the 86th is outside and you can walk around and see different angles.
