Just back from portofino bay hotel, final bill for parking 281$ ,in the past these hotels offered free parking to virgin holiday customers,a real good incentive, they informed me a new company now runs the car park and this perk is no longer, thoigh gutted this incredible hotel more than made up for it,club level of course, never happy to pay any car park fees but that's just me, bondy

well, if you booked it and you know ahead of stay there is parking fee you are prepared to pay. If not prepared and you know, you wouldn't book there, right?

Not happy with it but what can you do, it's clearly mentioned in all bookings

We have stayed one night and it is ok as you get two days parking but if I was staying week etc, we discussed that we would not pick up the car straight away, we would pick up after our stay

It's exactly the same as going anywhere, whether it's a hotel, shopping centre, theme park, beach. You find out in advance what the parking fees are and decide if the visit is worth it. They could always up the cost of staying there but then that wouldn't be fair on the many guests who choose not to drive.
I don't understand why the majority are saying it should be free, perhaps some of the (currently) 52% who voted could leave a comment and say why?

Hi, we have a one night stay booked in October, to avoid a late night drive back to the villa after HHN. Can I check what you said there! If you have single night stay there's only a one day charge! So if we check in early on day one and leave at the end of day 2 there's only $22 to pay?

thanks

Would pay the rate they charge... It is a "resort" - you don't need a car, pick it up when you need it - lower rental and no parking to pay. Would only have a car there if staying for a night or 2, no longer as it is truly wasted.

Well if you must stay in Kimptons

Our Seattle parking was included

In all seriousness, we would have stayed in one of the Kimptons in Seattle but the parking and breakfast costs put us off so we booked another top 10 hotel that included both. Makes a big difference to the total cost.

Back to the original point...we are staying 5 nights at RPR in December and it does sting a bit. Just wish they kept the price under control or offered a discounted length of stay price as mentioned above.

We are also staying at the Dolphin and you have to factor in parking AND resort fee its pricey.
