Last July we landed at 3.55pm and they announced that we could start disembarking the plane. They then immediately announced that as 3 large planes had just arrived we would not be allowed off the plane for another 45 minutes. We got to car hire at 5.30pm and finally got to our car at 6.35pm. Hoping for better luck this year.

We got lucky this year and flying club world really helped but from walking off the plane to getting in our taxi took just under 20 mins.
Immigration was empty and we were 2nd off the plane. |

It was my DBF's first time visiting the US last September so it took him an hour to get through immigration, it took me 5 minutes.. I wasn't best impressed having to wait on him while also not being able to use my phone haha

I've put 1-2 but it has varied over the years. We flew out 2 weeks after 9/11 and it took over 5 hrs from landing to getting to the shuttle bus but we had expected that. Think the shortest has been about 45 mins but we go peak time so it's always busy.

On our last trip we were through really quickly but then got stuck at the car hire bit for longer than it took to get off the plane, through immigration, and get our bags... was v annoying. my longest airport time I have to say was at Sanford... I much prefer mco.

Don't know if it's been mentioned and can't catch up in this thread as I'm here now. But there is an escalator at second bag drop now on b side. So a whole lot easier to transport luggage upstairs now. Before it' was just stairs. We still did 2nd bag drop as we had 3 big cases and 3 small kids. But helpful to know for anyone else.
