Where can I get good scones?
I have invited my mum for afternoon tea next Sunday. I usually shop in M&S and Waitrose but have yet to find a good scone, any suggestions?

Me neither!
Have you got time to make some? The ones from the M&S bakery are reasonable but I'm not keen on the pre packed ones

I agree, the M&S bakery scones are much better than the prepacked ones. 😊

I'd avoid the Waitrose bakery/cafe ones they are not good, Genesis (or genius) is a brand in Waitrose and there fruit scones are pretty good

Do you have a local bakery where you live? The one near my work does amazing scones - so much better than I've had from a supermarket. I've also got a really good recipe if you're feeling creative - dead easy.

Thanks all, think I will trying some of the supermarket bakeries rather than pre packed.
I'll take one for the team and do a tasting week 😉 |
