Dust it in flour and mustard powder first, and season with black pepper, (not salt) and then slow cook it for at least 4 hours in low oven, or in slow cooker all day. (don't add liquid to slow cooker, maybe just an onion at bottom) Brisket if slow cooked is wonderful.

Hi - yes its normal - dont add any fluid (or very little)as the slow cooker creates the juices
Theres some good recipes on here on past posts

I'm not so keen on slow cooked brisket an much prefer a more traditional joint such as topside. Cooking it the day before and then slicing heating up in gravy on the Sunday is what I'd personally do.

Ooh we love slow cooked brisket, packed with flavour, falls apart, melts in the mouth... perfect with roast potatoes Yorkshire puffs and lots of fresh steamed veggies and a generous serving of real gravy made with the juices from the bottom of the crock pot💕

Yep, it's usually meat juices and condensation

We love slow cooker brisket.

We season well and then seal and brown in a hot pan, put in slow cooker no extra liquid and cook in low for what normally ends up as about 11 hours in our house.

When you are getting everything else ready (roasties and veg in out house) lift out, pour all the juice into a saucepan and make into gravy. Cut fat off beef, shred with 2 forks, apply large pile to plate with roasties and veg, pour over oodles of thick gravy and serve. YUM,

I remember slow cooking brisket in the oven once and when I came to carve it it was that tender it was falling to pieces, so instead of slices I ended up with bits of meat, it was delicious but next time I didn't cook it for so long as I prefer a slice rather than bits .

Just bought 2 pieces of brisket as it was on offer. Can't beat it cooked in the slow cooker just melts in your mouth. Sometimes I will do a pot roast brisket, large potatoes, whole carrots, onion leave to cook on low alday then when we get home dinners ready just need to thicken the juices 😋😋 delicious.
