GoPro, dSLR or something else?
Hi all
Just wondering what people's thoughts are on best all round option / combinations. I'm a beginner and not into massive amounts of editing just want to get some good holiday video for the family. I have a canon 700d (probably a bit outdated now) which can take some decent video but sometimes seems to take forever trying to focus resulting in a blurry mess for a few seconds at a time. I quite like the idea of a GoPro but the outlay seems a lot for it and not sure it's suitable for the day to day stuff but would be great for the pool action and discovery cove Any thoughts or advice welcome I'm not adverse to buying something new but don't want to spend silly money Thanks for your time Tom |

Hi there,
I have just recently purchased the sjcam 4000 wifi. I watched all the video reviews on you tube and read them all Online! Must say I am very impressed. I am no gizmo guru but it is sooooo easy to use and the videos are very good. I bought it mainly for the water parks and my upcoming visit to discovery cove. Was excellent value for money (I purchased mine from ebay) considering the cost of the GoPro! Hope this helps.

Will look into it thanks, I should also say my laptop is now a few years old and all I'm likely to do is stick the files on a memory stick and plug into tv!
Edit where did you buy from I've seen them from £15 up to £80 with various middling prices, I'm assuming there are plenty of fakes around Edited at 06:15 PM. |

posted this to another thread in this forum a little while ago:
SJCAM make good quality gopro knockoffs - ive got 3 of their SJ4000 cameras which i use for various things. i could either buy one proper gopro, or three of these. it was a no-brainer IMO the sj4000 is an old model now though, so not many sellers still stock it. its been superceded by the sj5000 and sj5000X and sj6 legend sj5000 (1080p) amazon/SJCAM-SJ500...cc85b5cece9e07 sj5000X (4k video) amazon/SJCAM-Origi...0b3218eabfceac and the SJ6 legend (4k) amazon/Fodsports-S...995530bf95634c if you look on the sjcam website sjcamhd theres also the SJ7star model due out soon and M rage of compact ones (like the smaller gopro hero session camera) HTH |

Thank you I'm not between an SJCAM and something called an Akaso which I'm not sure but may be a knock off of the knock off but gets decent reviews.
Problem is you look at reviews on Amazon and most of them are paid reviews now |
