We didn't go into the airport to sort as there was no queue at the preferred desk in the garage we went there, it took around 10 minutes

Also the fuel charges are extortionate $9.90 per gallon! We usually rent from dollar and take the car back empty as we can't be doing faffing and it's usually around $60 on an SUV...this time $175! Don't think we'll use Avis again!

Good point! I'll chase this one up as we did opt for bring back empty! We always do! Back to emailing and complaining! Just feel we've been completely fleeced by by them.

Same here, got back last month, and extra charges of �158 via card been took.
I made sure nothing was ticked when I took car, and I can't get a receipt at the moment.
I'll never use avis again. Think I'll stick with alamo.

Thanks for commenting on the thread I started about this too. We are due to return our car on Wednesday evening so will be checking the receipt as you suggest and despite the assurances that I have had from Avis at MCO that all will be covered. If anything showing will head to the preferred desk in the garage. I didn't get offered the buy the fuel option so I presume I haven't done that so will need to take back full - I guess there is a gas station near the airport but I'll check the dibb guidebook as never had to do that before with Alamo.

Using AP at universal and back to disney
