hi all,

we are staying in englewood so not far this place...why should we visit?

open to thoughts

We have stayed near Manasota beach 5 times and would do days out to Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key and Boca Grande which are all doable. Sanibel is beautiful but a longer drive. Also, no free beach parking at Sanibel and the roads can be busy in high season

Sanibel is beautiful but to me is the kind of place you should stay to appreciate. It is a laid back kind of place where doing a day trip doesn't get you the full relaxation atmosphere. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge is a good place to visit and the cost is minimal/ There are also some good places to eat.

To be honest I am biased but South Beach on Boca is just as good as any on Sanibel.

How far is South Beach at Boca from Rotonda West and how easy is it to park and is this free?

it takes about 20 minutes to the bridge, traffic depending and where you are actually based and this costs $6 per car; there is now a car park just passed the bistro which is $3.00 per day.
