Spectrolee's Three Week Disney Trip - Day 2

Good Morning from beautiful Saratoga Springs

H2O toiletries this year. I really liked the sea salt body lotion.

Matt Joni and Ed having Dino fun on the balcony

The view from our front door

Matt and Ed having a splash

Joni and Isabel popped to the bin, Joni had a wee splash too

Davie, Eva and I popped to Walmart to get some essentials (Bud Light in aluminium bottles for the pool haha)
There were quite a lot of empty shelves, not sure if this was due to the hurricane.

I didn't manage to take a pic of last nights meals, as it was late and we were so hungry we demolished it!
Between us we had 4 QS meals from the Artists Palette (two Lobster BLTs, one flatbread and a kids chicken nuggets)
We assumed that the changes to quick service meals would mean that you would only be able to get a drink with these as desserts are no longer included. However we were told that we couldn't have a drink (to use our refillable mug) and to take sides instead.
We took a melon cup, a strawberry cup, a yoghurt granola, and the kids meal came with an apple juice, grapes and a cookie.

For breakfast we used 3 QS meals (after some confusion when ordering)
We had two bounty platters . . .

Plus three sides (scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage) which was one QS entitlement.

This is what the app looks like with the new DDP tracker

We took a nice stroll round to Disney Springs for lunch and to drop a little birthday gift off to Pamela who works at the Pearl Factory
We checked the timings to each part of the resort (we were just strolling though, in no rush)
It took 4 mins to the carriage house, then a further 6 mins to the start of congress park.
In total it took us 25 mins from our door to Wolfgang Puck Express

We had a lovely lunch at WPE
Margarita Pizza for Matt

Davie had the rotisserie chicken, unfortunately it was cold (but the waitress apologised and refunded us a QS credit)

Chicken aoli sandwich for Eva

Isabel had rigatoni meatball
(which had a lot of full pieces of broccoli in it, not a bad thing, but they do seem to be broccoli mad over here!)

I had my usual chicken alfredo, and cleared the plate

Joni was a bit tired out in World of Disney

Out of all the beautiful things to buy, this is the toy Joni chose - she'll be a Star Wars fan hopefully

We tried Sprinkles for the first time. We had the carrot cake cupcake - it was delicious, and Davie had a vanilla ice cream.

I picked up a fuel rod at the Sundries shop behind the Coca Cola store
$30 to purchase, and comes with a lead and some adapters for different phones (I'm using it just now on an iPhone 6 and it's charging quite quickly)
Once you purchase your fuel rod you can have unlimited swaps for fully charged ones at select locations in the parks and resorts.

Back to the room for some naps and relaxation.
We have no plans for the rest of the day, we're just going to see how we feel later.

You spend a fortune to get here for the two (three) children to have the most fun hitting each other with 97c pool noodles from Walmart

Eva, Matt and I decided we'd take the kids on a trip round the monorail to get us all out for a while. Isabel and Davie stayed in for a bit of peace and quiet.

There was a Halloween party on at Magic Kingdom this evening

We stoop at the Polynesian Resort for a bite to eat in Captain Cookes

Such a beautiful resort

We got four QS meals
I had the Asian noodles with shrimp

Eva had the chicken noodle soup, which we got as a side to my noodles

Joni had a cheeseburger, Matt had the hotdog and Ed had the nuggets

Drinks with the kids meals

This was after he had conned Matt into more toys haha

Kids had fun playing with their Anna and Simba toys

After some more gift shop browsing we called it a night and headed back to Magic Kingdom to catch a bus to our resort
All in bed for 11pm
