Hope he's ok op. Mines a little younger so at the 11ish time stage. My friends boy went off to uni this weekend gone and the previous week rolled in at 4am plus nearly every night after saying goodbye to friends and only on the 3rd time did he get the message to let his mum know he was ok and safe. They just don't engage their brain yet you know the phone is constantly in their hand .

"Oops Mum sorry I forgot to text " was DD.
I tried to reassure myself that if something terrible had happened the police would be at my door. Also remember teens don't wake up until lunchtime so don't panic when he's not on touch first thing. I console myself that one day she might be a parent & realise the stress she caused me. |

Oh no, I hope he's home now.
I'm a terrible worrier - my DS is 17 and goes out but not to clubs yet but mostly he's really good at texting me as he knows I worry but of course sometimes he forgets or doesn't think and I think that's the problems with mobiles - although they're great, if they've run out of charge or they have them on silent (which they mostly do) then you worry more when you don't get a reply. |

I remember rolling in early hours and my mom was stood on the doorstep waiting for me. Made sure to tell her how late id be the next time.
No I wouldn't have text on a night out (if mobile phones existed then) but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a quick text to say you won't be home at all. I would worry too as I know if anything had happened ds friends wouldn't have my number to call to tell me and they wouldn't know his password to get into his phone. Op hope you've heard from him now. |

The trouble is we forget what we were like at their age. I had tons more leeway than my older Sister but there again I was working at 15.
I used to roll in from aged 17 on anytime between 11.00pm and 6.00am
