Annual pass magic band

Do you still get a free magic band with an annual pass?

If so how? We got one before and it was shipped to our condo address but this was a few years ago and we'd like to get the new bands now they are out.
I can't seem to find much out online

Yes you do, they appear in your MDE when you order your AP to personalise and arrange shipping to a US address.

The only band that shows up is the one we got with an annual pass a couple of years ago.
Should we get a new one as this is a new annual pass not a renewal?

Same thing with me. Just bought 2 annual passes and no magic band has shown up. Previous times I've purchased them always had a magic band allocated in MDE. Don't know what's changed.

I think you have to activate the pass now for the band to show up. You may have to ask at guest relations to see if they will issue a band when you activate.

I purchased annual passes a few months ago, when they linked to MDE the option was there to choose and personalise the magic bands.

I'm sorry to resurrect an old post. But did anyone get any clarification on this.
I have read on Disney's site that you now need to activate your AP first and then the band's will show up on MDE for you to customise. They can then be shipped to a US address. We are staying in a Villa this time. But the villa itself doesn't accept mail. I'm wondering whether the letting company would accept them for us. But what if they take a few weeks to arrive?

was wondering this too, we will be in the same situation. Could they not just be collected from guest services?

No they can't be sorry. They have to go to a US address that can be a WDW resort.

We get them every year when I can remember to do them! I renew every February, use them in April for the first time and order the bands in early August to pick up when we check in mid August.

We couldn't get them shipped, so bought from the Airport on the way in.
This year we're on site - so will get issued some anyway.
