Pre-Travel Day: Alchemist - Spinningfields Manchester We didn't book a table and just walked in and got seated straight away. It's a lovely place, although I did prefer the New York Street branch slightly. Being a Man Utd fan, Andy got all giddy when he spotted Marcus Rashford sat at another table with a young lady. Bless lol Alchemist is famed for its huge cocktail list that has wacky drinks such as ones that bubble uncontrollably, smoke or change colour/flavour etc. We chose some that were fairly tame in the end. Solero for me. It was nice but the "white chocolate foam" was just whipped cream. Andy had a Black Jack Which came with a syringe and a random bottle of liquid. Once mixed.. It did taste exactly like aniseed black jack sweets. To eat, Andy had the fillet steak sandwich. This came with fries included. Fillet steak sandwich - on light rye bread with sautéed mushrooms and onions, served with fries and dipping gravy. £10.75 He wolfed if down it was so good. The steak was lovely and tender which is perfect for a sandwich. The onions and mushrooms added great flavour. I dipped a chip in the gravy which was awesome. Such a great price too for fillet steak. I had the Chicken Quesadillas. £6.50 Inside was shredded chicken, cheese and I added hot sauce. These were nice but definitely needed the added chilli sauce as they were a bit bland without. I paid extra for a side of salt and pepper fries too. £3.50 These were awesome - salty and savoury with a chilli kick. They tasted just like salt and pepper chicken wings from the Chinese. I couldn't get enough. The food was a bargain at £20.75 for both, really tasty and just enough portion size wise, we were really happy. Total with drinks was £36.75

Pre-Travel Day: Snack Instead of proper dessert I had a donut back at the hotel I'd brought from home. It was nice but i'm hoping the Epcot Cronut will be even better. Andy had chocolate buttons and we washed it down with some fancy cherry coke in cute glass bottles. That's all for today. See you tomorrow for travel day yay! Edited at 05:31 PM. |

Welcome guys!
that made me lol Thank you I know ridiculous right?! It wasn't even boozy. Even normal drinks were really expensive like £8 for a *small* glass of wine :'( Captive audience unfortunately! Thank you so much.

Hi I'll be following along too.
Ooh the hotel drinks were pricey Glad you found some at a more reasonable price. The steak sandwich looked tasty. Have a great holiday. |
