Well, sent my application back 15th October.
I have my assessment at Capita in Coventry next Wednesday. Seems very quick turnaround. Can’t believe they have had any responses from my doctor or the hospital in such a short time. Getting the feeling that a decision has already been made...

From past experience, they have never written to our Drs, they usually look at all the hospital and Drs letters you have provided with the PIP application, they also make descion mainly on what the assessor puts. You need to really make them understand how, your health affects you with eg Cooking getting washed and dressed etc. I would make sure you try and get over to them how you struggle with tasks. I feel it's important to take a career, with you so they can also explain, your difficulties. Please try and read Benefits and work as they have a section which explains, what to expect at the assessment. Good Luck.

If you included medical evidence, it's very likely that they won't contact your Doctors.
The decision can't get made yet because it doesn't actually get made by Capita. The Assessor will write their report when they visit you and go through your form, that then gets passed on to someone else who allocates points based on the evidence, original application and assessor's report. That will form the result. It's the assessor's reports that have been extremely inaccurate in some cases.
