Disney Dream luggage question

Hope this doesn't seem too stupid a question but ...

Do people leave small cabin cases with the main luggage that the porters take at dockside? Or do they only take suitcases ?

If we keep our valuables with us when we board should we have a separate smaller carry on bag for these or do people trundle cabin cases around ?

Are cabin cases allowed in restaurants on embarkation and disembarkation days even ?

Maybe a small rucksack would be better ?

Any advice please ?

Thank you

As we have laptops we take at least one cabin case with us when we board. Its fine taking them to the restaurant for lunch.

Usually, by the time we've eaten we can get in the cabin to drop it off

Disembarkation day we get up and get to breakfast before need to leave our cabin so we come back and pick our cabin bags.

Thank you for that helpful advice

Just didn't want the scenario of us being the only one pulling cabin case !

As we are 2nd sitting at dinner I thought our breakfast time was starting at 8am and that was the time we had to be cleared out of cabin completely? I have I got that right ?

Yep, you are right .. up and out of your cabin early so they can get it ready for the next people.
You could go to Cabanas earlier though, you don't have to go to the restaurant you ate at the night before.
Just make sure to say goodbye to your servers the night before (and give the tip envelopes over).

Little tip we picked up from the Dibb. When you embark, you can go to a MDR (main dining room) for lunch if you want. Quieter and more space than taking your cabin case into Cabana’s.

That's very handy indeed to know
Thanks Gill.

Is it a buffet at lunchtimes ?

No, the MDR is a proper table service meal. So you can put your case beside you and no need to worry about it.

Your stateroom won’t be ready till after 1.30 so you might as well relax!
