Formal night

My self and my husband like any opportunity to dress up , can anyway tell me about formal night . When is it ( we are on the 3 day cruise for port canaveral) and is it suits and long dress or cocktail dresses . Don't want to look stupid and dress up when people don't bother .

There is not a formal night on the 3 night sailings however there is an optional dress up night, if you do like to dress up then I would suggest reserving a table at remy or palos but you will have to pay extra for this. Of course you can wear what you like but most guests on a 3 night cruise are cruise casual.

I don't agree that most people are casual, I think more people dress up on the optional night than don't. I don't but I'm always in the minority.
You will not look out of place at all in a cocktail dress and suit.

On a 3 night cruise, I would say don't miss any of the main restaurants (MDRs) as each one has it's own design and entertainment going on .. don't miss them on your first cruise.

On DCL 7 night cruises, you will have a formal night. You can wear jeans, trousers, a suit or black tie .. you will see all of those plus more!

Most men will wear shirt and tie, some will have the jacket. Most women will wear posh frocks, cocktail dresses or full length gowns.

DCL is very relaxed as long as you don't wear swimwear or a vest into dinner (males should not wear vests past the age of 3 anyway in my opinion)
