4 week trip 2019 - Miami, Smoky Mountains and East coast

Hi all,

I'm a serial trip planner and have started to think about our Silver Wedding trip next year.

I'm thinking 4 weeks, here's my rough idea:

Fly Manchester - Miami, cruise for a week.
Fly to Atlanta and collect car. Road trip around Montgomery, Birmingham, Memphis, Nashville and Smoky Mountains.
Then head East to Savannah and head up the East Coast to New York for 4 nights to finish.

What do you think? Too ambitious for a 4 week stay?

Wow, that sounds amazing. We are going to the Smoky Mountains this year for the first time, can't wait.

Hi just thinking about doing a pre trippee for our trip in July. We are taking 3 weeks to drive from Boston to New York, onto Washington, then Shenondoah National Park and Smokey Mountains before pit stop in Savannah and onto Orlando, few days in AMI before finishing in Miami. Writing it down looks scary! Last hurrah with all 3 boys before eldest son heads to University.

Last year we drove up to the Smokies from Orlando, stopping off at Aiken and Asheville on the way. We stayed in the Smokies for a week with a quick trip over to Nashville for a concert, then drove back down to Rotonda on Gulf Coast for a couple of weeks, so I think you'd manage your trip fine as your flying up yo Atlanta.
Absolutely loved the Smokies.

I may not have read your itinerary too closely as it's very late but I still think you'll be ok. Sounds great.

This is what we are planning for next year ..with maybe 3 days in Nashville ... did you find plenty to occupy yourselves in Rotonda ...its a toss up between a villa here or orlando ..fancy a change and we will have no kids so no need to visit any parks
