Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think they fly direct from Belfast - too much hassle to go via England for only a short break.

I will report back. I booked separately as I'm using staff travel but BA holidays was coming up with some very tempting prices as they heavily discount the flights if you book it as a package.

We loved Venice in January for our honeymoon many years ago. Cold but sunny.

Also love Barcelona. All European cities are expensive though.

Maybe look at England and either Liverpool of Manchester? I live between both and Belfast flights have always come up cheap. Loads to do in both 😀

We chose Barcelona in January for my SiLs 40th some years ago and returned for the next 10 years as we had such a great time. Flights and hotels are cheap and the weather has always been quite good.

I took my other half to Madrid for his 30th in January a couple of years ago. We both loved it! So much to do and it was cold but lovely and sunny. It’s now our favourite city in Europe.

Why don't you have a look on Ryanair/easyjet for the dates and see where comes up cheap. Ryanair especially has a fab fare finder tool
