I know, it took its sweet time, didn’t it? Was lovely to finally see it though, made the resort look even more special.

Ah yeah, she’s definitely up there with some of the more unusual characters we’ve encountered in the World.

Hurray it’s finally Christmas in the hotel, it looked really good too-perhaps it’s true that good things come to those who wait, if they had been there to begin with it wouldn’t have been an event, ha ha!
Another great day at both parks apart from the Indiana incident. The Nomad Lounge was a good find it’s nice to escape the bustle especially with the parks being so busy-shame you couldn’t use some of your credits in there!

I know what you mean about trying to find breakfast in AK. We ended up having a ridiculously early 11am lunch instead at Yak & Yeti CS!

Oh my word, you bumped into some right characters today. Glad you enjoyed the day overall though.

I'm guessing the elves were Lanny & Wayne from Prep and Landing. If you haven't seen those cartoons you really need to, they are on Channel 4 every Christmas and they are tremendous fun.

Ha yes this is true, we really enjoyed looking out for the decorations each day - hence the name of the trip report.

Loved the Nomad Lounge - it is 100% back on the list for a visit on our next trip. Beautifully themed and so relaxing.

I read somewhere that Y&Y CS were doing breakfast for a while but I don't know if it is still the case - we just didn't have the energy to push on round there.

We did have a fun day - I was happily surprised at just how chilled out we both were even though the crowds were pretty hefty and it was starting to hamper some of the stuff we wanted to do - like eating!

Oh fab, I will have to make a note for next year as I have never heard of Prep & Landing. Thank you!

I love the stories you tell in the reports. That family in the Indiana Jones queue sound a right treat! Glad someone took them on and stood up for the woman!

Another fab day even if it sounded a proper effort to get some food!

Honestly, they were truly awful. A real life walking example of why you should quit the parks and go and do something else when it all gets a bit much.

Sadly, difficulties in getting food became a bit of a theme of this holiday - pesky Thanksgiving crowds! We were still having a lot of fun though despite the odds being against us.

Hurrah! Animal Kingdom Lodge knows it's Christmas... and looks spectacular.

I will have to remember Nomad Lounge for our next trip. We ended up taking refuge from heat/people in the Nemo theatre, but as we both dislike Nemo (little brat, should have done as he was told), I think a cold cocktail and a snack would have been a much better option.

Wow, your Indiana Jones queue experience was interesting. What did the woman think she would get stabbed with?! A plastic fork? Did she not witness the bag check and metal detectors on the way in?! Maniac.

Ooooh, Butterfinger in any form is yum, they used to do it in McFlurry's over there and it was the best thing. I have regret over that cupcake on your behalf.

The Christmas projection and firework show looks fab, as do the Hollywood Studios decorations.

Why do you think the QS in AKL is so terrible, other than the set up? Maybe because they don't expect there to be much call for QS at a deluxe? You get a QS and a TS per day on the DDP so odd it doesn't have the capacity. You aren't the first trippie that I have read that has been disappointed with it though.

Really enjoying your report, thanks so much for writing it up, adding the photos (my least favourite part) and sharing
