BA Flights - Leg Room
We will be flying from
Heathrow to Miami with BA and was just wondering what standard legroom is like in economy. Only ever flown long haul once 8yrs ago with virgin which I thought was fine in terms of room. Never flown with BA long or short haul so no idea if they are comparable to Virgin in terms of legroom in economy. |

We do the BA to Miami route from Heathrow. We've only ever flown on the 747 and my husband is 6'2 and has. Never had any problems and he never moans about the leg room, so it's fine for us!

I'm 6'1 and we flew in economy from Gatwick to Tampa last year. I didn't have any gripes about the leg room and was fine.

Broadly comparable I would say.
If concerned then just try to get an aisle seat so you can use the aisle space if necessary. |

If you’re on the A380 to Miami, and you’re lucky enough like I was you can book “the throne seat” 25D. This is just a normal World Traveller seat in terms of cost etc, but it will definitely provide enough leg room.
I lost all my pictures from the year that I took it, but here is a link to an article. thisismoney/money/h...my-prices.html

We normally fly BA to MCO but last trip was Virgin and I felt there was definitely a bit more legroom in economy with Virgin. BA is ok but not if you are very long-legged, My son is 6ft1 and finds it uncomfortable.

Thank you everyone one. We actually ended up booking to go with virgin and have paid for extra legroom seats so hoping we’ll be fine with that.
