We booked our flights with Virgin atlantic a couple of weeks ago and we upgraded to PE for the flight home for an extra £33 total, I was so shocked on how cheap it was

I get that sometimes but then it gives me a price of I try again the next day.

My upgrade is 250 ATM, cannot see it dropping to what I'd pay tbh. I've paid 550 for econ out pe back.

although we booked with Delta we fly with virgin and I've just asked how much to upgrade outbound.

I'm glad I was sat down as it is £6500 each!

I might ask again at check-in.

We found the same as well.

"Bid for an upgrade" only works for people who booked direct with VA (and possibly Virgin Holiday). The last time we asked for an upgrade price (from the agent) they quoted £700 each (for flights that only cost £400 in the first place ! ). In our case, we are just going to see what the price is when checking in - and if it is lower enough get them then.

I thought I'd post my current upgrade on my return leg from my current PE to upper... bearing in mind a few weeks ago I posted it was 500 ish... over 2k now! and they don't appear to have sold any seats, or at least the seat plan looks the same... I just don't understand how one minute it can be 500 and then over 2k... that is just stupid...


my econ to pe on my outbound is still at around 250
