Disneys strange/stupid rules

Here now and yes I know there's a hurricane coming but please can any of you make sense of this, yesterday morning was a lovely sunny day so we thought let's make the most if it and spend the morning round the pool... no pools closed at ssr due to bad weather! Brilliant sunshine bad? Any way move on to today when it's raining no wind but lots of rain, pools now open!
Also decided as nothing else to due to everything being closed and curfew not till 6 tonight we'd go for a walk (just raining no wind yet) walked round ssr no problem but not allowed to walk through Disney springs for our safety! How does that make sense

No hurricane but at Tokyo Disneyland we enjoyed hotel pool on 31st August - beautiful sunshine.
Come 1st September - an almost heatwave (37C) - pool closed for annual maintenance. Aaaaaargh!

They must have justification for their actions, they will be in close consultation with their legal teams and insurers to make sure they don't face a lot of litigation !

We realised that a lot of the closures is about making the area safe. Now they've done it maybe that's why the pools are no longer closed?

The Paddock pool at SSR wasn't closed yesterday as I went there.
The Congress Park one was as it's the most exposed and they took hours piling up then tying down all the deck furniture.

They are using common sense and protecting guests very well. Credit to them.

Safety has to be paramount at the end of the day so whilst some things may seem odd at WDW at the moment they are thinking about their guests (and the legal implications!)

Just had a lovely hour in the paddock pool and hot tub - didn't think it would be open and we were the only ones for a good while- life guards had no idea how long it would stay open for though
