What file for a DVD?

Hi All, We have a video file from DIL's 4d scan that I would like to put on to DVD to playback on our dvd player.
Its an MP4 file at the moment, what format would it need to be please?

You need a program that converts the MP4 into the DVD format and write it to disk. It isn't a case of converting it then burning it.

I used to use Burn on my Mac. But I haven't made a DVD in years now.

burn-osx.sourceforge/Pages/English/home.html

It is free so give it a go. Just select DVD and drag and drop the MP4 into it and it will process it and burn it.

I use convert x to dvd which is very good
