DAS - Son Eligible?
Hi.
From what I've read around, DAS seems to cover "hidden disabilities", such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, but doesn't go into detail as to what is deemed a hidden disability. We are due to go to WDW at the start of Feb, and my son is recovering from a broken leg, and is still in cast and wheelchair. I understand that the majority of the ride queues are wheelchair accessible, so shouldn't present too much of an issue in that respect. However, my son (7) also has an overactive bladder that he is on medication for. Essentially, his bladder capacity is around 30-40ml (when they last checked), so he often needs to visit the toilet at very short notice, and often multiple times within an hour. I appreciate that we would be able to exit the queue if necessary, and a CM would assist us to try to return as close to our position, but with the wheelchair this could prove quite difficult. Does anyone have any experience in this matter, and whether it would be worth asking about the possibility of help under the DAS scheme? Thanks in advance |

Its best to go to guest services in park and explain the situation. They will then be able to advise on how they can best support your needs

You can only ask. Usually the wheelchair lines are quicker anyway.
