Loving this series. I was born in 1973 so not quite my era yet...
Mum and Dad would be courting and be newly weds about at this point 😀

So glad to see this on again, love it. I read the books by Jennifer Worth before it was made into a television series, they are a great read as there is much more detail in them x

I was like that with the Bill as it was all filmed locally. The oddest was watching a scene where a friend from my youth theatre days who was a major character in it by then spent the entire scene standing outside the building where I'd attended his sixteenth birthday party.
I now live near Chatham dockyard,the tour sounds fun

We stayed on a small holding in the 60 s Mum was thevlocal district nurse / midwife shocking a working mum in the winter of 1962/3 dad bought her a new land rover not one patient was missed no kid missed school and me being the baby at 2 went every where
DB drives Dads triumph Vitesse and DS has Daisy the land rover not a bit of rust on either Daisy is the only thing big enough for the Newfie Dogs
DSI is a country school headmistress till Easter and her school kids don't have snow days they wouldn't dare even if it's by their I pads

I think this series is great but has been a real tearjerker, my daughter has recently got into C T M , she's trying to get me to take her to Chatham where they do a studio tour, has anyone been ? I was born in 1962 so now they are at the stage when I'm 1 year old, I work in the Poplar, Bow East End area , not much of it looks like that now,
