Sounds perfect for a mini Dibb Cast.

How exciting 😁. We did Norway in 2016, absolutely loved it. Olden was by far my favourite port, the scenery was stunning.

What dates are you looking at? We’ve just booked the Britannia Norway cruise for 8/7. Not much use to you I guess due to distance but p and o do lots of ship visit days where for £25 you get a full tour and lunch!

We are going on aug 12th so as you disembark?

Don’t think we’d make it for the day although it sounds like fun.

Excellent.
We walked into Bergen and did the Funicular, we got there before the hordes from the tours so it was easy peasy, when we came down the queues were horrendous.
In Olden you can get a local bus from just outside the dock that takes you up to the drop off point where you can walk up to a glacier. The 6 of us did it for less that the tour would have cost 2 of us and went exactly the same route. My parents were early 70's and managed the walk, in fact it was Mums birthday that day. You can pay to go up in a gator if you want to. It was fascinating, there were signs showing where the front edge was over the years.
The parents are on Britannia next month,we haven't been. Out of the other 2 we prefer Oceana.
Be prepared for your waiters singing "happy birthday" at dinner.
