That will depend on the time of your flight back and if it is rush hour.

We’ve done both, I prefer subway without kids, taxi with, the stations can be quite daunting depending on what time you get there and lots of hustlers trying to sell you tickets for a few bucks, and station works can put all well planned journeys into doubt without any warning! Stress free cab with kids for me!

Thanks, so if my check in is at 3pm at JFK would you say leave Manhattan around 1.30pm? Would 2pm be pushing it?

I'd go for 1.30 personally, plenty of eating places at JFK .

That's what time check-in opens rather than what time you have to be there. I assume you're on a 18:00 departure?

Just make sure you've left Manhattan by 15:30 latest. You'll be absolutely fine leaving at 14:00.

Yes leaving at 6pm T4 at JFK, thanks, any advice is welcome! I've also got a short connection time at Heathrow to get flight to Manchester so fingers crossed! 😳

Great question, I was going to ask the same!

Doing 4 nights before flying down to Orlando just me and my 17 year old daughter! I was looking at the air train but worried about once at a tube station how I would manage the stairs with 2 large cases!

So looks like a cab at the airport of $52. The question I have though is it says passengers are responsible for paying at tolls! 😊 Does that mean I have to physically pay myself, handing over the money, or does the taxi driver pay, adding $4.50 to the bill? 😊

good choice imo as well getting up the stairs you may be some blocks from your actual hotel to would have to wheel/hump your cases as well

the driver will pay, they have the NYC equivilent of sunpass to go through the tunnel/bridge

so it just gets added to your bill & dont forget tip
