;( norweignair changed our flight to HiFly, reviews please!

First world problems that are nothing in the grand schemes but...
I am So annoyed! I booked with norweignair to nyc at Easter as we like the Dreamliner and it was a good price. I have since added seat selection and luggage.
Today I received a text message to say they have changed my flight to HiFly, same time and date. A quick google and I am so peeved, it looks like diabolical airline with shabby planes.
There is the offer of a refund but checking out prices for other airlines is not promising as ££££ more than I paid, doesn’t help I booked a Oct trip to DLP today...
So has anyone flown long haul with them? Did they have inflight entertainment? Will food and (and more importantly) drinks be included if I hadn’t booked them with Norweignair? There is no further info on my booking app about what plane/service to expect.
Thanks in advance.

2 years ago thomas cook use hifly from stansted to mco. Ife wasnt that good but seats were much better with more legroom than the tc Airbus.
I think they are Portuguese wasnt an issue for us. Some complained so.e were delighted depends on what you expect from a sub charter.

I booked Thomas Cook flights from Stansted to cancun in 2015. We had hi fly, it was manned by hi fly crew but overseen by 4 tc crew.

I would never fly tc again after that. The flights had in flight entertainment but only a very poor choice of 4 films and I think they may have not been in English. Luckily my children had tablets.
The staff were appalling, the plane wasn't cleaned on turn around and a poor little boy at the back was left to sit in sick.

I'd asked a member of staff for something (my memory escapes me now) and they were completely disinterested.

Food was James Martin and was standard plane food but the drinks with dinner were served an hour after and food trays were left stacked up.

Tc crew were there purely to man duty free.

It won't be a pleasant flight but if it's all you've got go expecting it to be rubbish and armed with food and entertainment.

We got the same text the other day. We decided to just roll with it as it’s only on the way out, thankfully.

we had to complain and had seats from premium bumped - it really depends which aircraft you are on - a seat map layout is required for me to sus out which one it is, all the maps are on the hifly sight.

We had to battle to get seats up front on that particular flight, they were extra leg room and not cramped at all... I walked thru thru the main cabin and it was awfully cramped.

But the staff were lovely, food was good and flight was fine.

Find out which plane - some have lie down beds! and then push for them to get you in the right seats and it wont be that bad.

Thanks for the replies. Papamouse, all I know is it is an A330 200, but looking on their website it has two diff versions so not sure which one it is.
A few questions, do they sell food and drinks on the flight if covering norweignair? We didn’t order food as raiding Pret before hand, but the option of buying hot drinks/prosecco would be welcomed!
