Mobile Budapest v Dubrovnik

I’ve narrowed down a 3 night trip in October to one of these cities... Problem is that we can’t decide which one! Which would you choose and why?

I’ve been to both and really you can’t go wrong with either , it’s a close call , but I would probably choose Budapest for the thermal spas , ruin bars and New York Cafe . It’s also a lot cheaper so extra pennies in your pocket .

In Budapest we stayed in the Jewish Quarter. I went with a group so we stayed in s rented apartment . Dubrovnik we stayed just outside in Cavtat , but we stayed for a longer time . For a weekend I’d stay in the city .

I’ve not been to Dubrovnik but I loved Budapest. Everyone was really friendly and there was so much to do. We stayed at the Hotel Victoria Budapest and thought the location was great, it was walking distance to the centre, but not in the middle of all the nightspots.
If you go, definitely spend time at one of the thermal spas, they are amazing

No experience of either of these but regarding Dubrovnik it may be worth checking the cruise ships itineraries. My parents love it but reckon it can feel busier than Venice when the big ships drop in. Game of Thrones has increased its popularity but if you are into it then could be another tick in the box for there.

It's supposed to be a beautiful city.
