Heathrow - Miami, American Airlines

I am looking at booking flights through BA due to price from Heathrow to Miami on an American Airline plane (boeing 777 jet). Can anyone give me any information on this flight? Does the aircraft have seatback tvs, seat configuration, are the meals and drinks included? Any other information would be great. Thank you

Yes to seatback IFE

Seat configuration in Economy should be 10 across in 3-4-3 config, which is tight on a 777, but pretty much the industry norm these days.

Yes to meals and drinks, though possibly only beer and wine as alcoholic drinks, you may have to pay for spirits in Economy on AA (not sure on this point).

Both AA and BA fly from T3 at LHR to MIA, so no difference there.

We flew with AA on this route last summer. Food was good in economy, good leg room and IFE also very good. As someone has already mentioned, soft drinks, beer and wine are included. Spirits are extra. Think it was $8 for
a G&T!

You can select your seats when you book, or any time after, for free on AA.

If you put your flight details into seat guru you can find all of the details.

This has changed recently. We booked our flight last June for our flight next month and at the same time selected our seats. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that our reservation had been cancelled and I could no longer book online. I called them and sadly you now have to pay for aisle and window seats.

We went last year with them and they were fine. Better than BA on the way back.

I don't think that you have to pay for aisle seats from the Centre block, if that makes sense

On our return flight the aisle seats on the centre block are £61 each... we are a party of 6 and have been split into 3 lots of 2 sitting in the centre 2 seats of the block of 4... am not impressed! I think I will try to contact them to see if something can be done...
