It's the Ref No you need and without it you cant do OLCI.
This may have changed recently Mr M, as I've mentioned earlier I've used VH for Alamo as the price has always been VERY competitive for my dates, after booking at the start of January with VH, I was given a Virgin Holidays booking reference. OLCI is not available for the first 24 hours or so, but within the week I logged in with Alamo via the Virgin link, entered my Virgin reference and was able to complete the OLCI and was given an Alamo reference.

The whole process was a doddle, I'm checked in along with my free additional driver and we don't leave until July, can't wait!

I've booked car hire with VH for my trip in June - just tried OLCI and Skip the Counter after reading this thread and it worked a treat. Just used the link posted above and my VH booking number. All sorted and have my skip the counter ticket and barcode.

I’ve also done skip counter for Aug, wasn’t obvious first time I looked but worked it out in end. I’d had same email about voucher not being sent until June

Mmm. Thank you, must be quite a recent change and to be honest makes total sense. I could never work out why VA and VH worked differently when VH actually fulfill the booking anyhow.
Well done.

When doing the OLCI, what dates you use for license start/exipry date ? The ones on the paper copy or the ones on the plastic card ?

Also, do you need to take both parts to the US ?

OK,
So I booked car hire with Virgin Atlantic.com yesterday and the Booking Reference Number they supplied is not working on the Alamo site when I try to log in for online checkin.
Any advice?
Thanks.
