Disneyland Paris Help!
Going to DLP as gonna be a few years before Florida again
Its just the 2 of us and we are going to stay at the Kyriad and considering 4 nights. We are adults and like to take it easy but just want to make sure there will be enough to keep us occupied when not at the parks? We will probably enjoy some drinks at night etc too can anyone help ? ooooh not too fussed about travelling to the city, been a few times lol |

It's usually worth the 3 min trip to Val de Europe to have a mooch in the mall.

Any particular reason for the Kyriad, other than if it’s by far the cheapest? It’s probably my least favourite of the partner hotels. If you haven’t had a look, B&B Hotel is usually around the same price with free breakfast, nothing fancy of course but does the job nicely.

Is that the Christmas holiday in your countdown? If so, expect the parks to close fairly early (depending on your dates) so you’ll definitely want something planned to do in the evenings. I definitely recommend an evening in Cafe Fantasia with glowtinis - we did that at Christmas and it was lovely.
You could also do a little tour of the Disney hotel bars in the evenings, book BBWWS for one night, etc.

theres plenty to do in the evenings even if its winter and the parks close by 7.30 (for example). Loads of restaurants and bars in the Disney Village, shopping there too, people-watching, sports on the big screen, and as has been mentioned already, Val D'europe with more dining/shopping/bars is one short hop away by either bus or local train.

That’s different, then. The main park closes between much later in May - 10pm at the start of the month, 10:30 mid-May, and 11pm when we go at the end of May. By the time we’ve watched Illuminations, and left the park, it will be close to midnight. On our last night in August (same closing time) we added in a bit of shopping in World of Disney and didn’t get back to the car until 1am, so definitely didn’t need any extra evening entertainment!
Obviously, you might not want to do that every night, but planning an evening in the Village / a hotel bar or two / BBWWS should give you plenty of variety and fill the evenings nicely, even if you leave the parks early a couple of times.

Queues tend to be shorter in the evenings too, so if you do want to get out of the parks one day, it might be better to get over to Val d’Europe during the day, then back to the parks for the evening and Illuminations.

We’ve always stayed onsite, and it’s definitely worth it for us. We like the meal plans as they’ve always worked out better value than paying for the restaurants we want in cash, EMH is good, and it’s handy being able to pop back to the hotel during the day. That’s for us as a family with two children though, so might be different for a couple.
How much extra would it cost to stay onsite? It’s never worked out particularly cheap for us to stay offsite - by the time we add on tickets it can work out more than staying onsite. e.g. for May, we’re paying £700 for five day two park tickets, and four nights in Santa Fe (total for four of us.) Kyriad for four of us staying four nights would be approx £600 and then five day two park tickets with attractiontix £798 = £1400. That’s double the onsite cost, and even more than we paid for four nights in the Disneyland Hotel with five days in the park at Christmas! I don’t know if it’s the dates we go, or being a family of four, or the fact that I wait for a really good onsite deal before booking, but we just seem to get the hotel and tickets a lot cheaper onsite than offsite. I’d look at the best deal you can get onsite (I think possibly the French and Italian websites have the best offers at the moment) and compare it to the total for offsite and tickets, then decide whether the extra is worth it. And obviously if it’s cheaper to stay onsite, then just do it!
