How to survive a large family holiday

Give me your tips guys. There will be 11 of us in a large Villa. I have done all planning so its my way or the highway so to speak. We do have 2 vehicles and not everyone is doing everything. We will be having a food shopping pot as it will be much easier but eating out and anything bought in the parks we are paying for ourselves.

If your doing trips to the parks together set a get ready by time. If your not ready you don't come. It's so hard other wise to get everyone out of the door. Have days apart and don't be to worried if people don't want to stick to the plan. The money pot in theory sounds ok but people snack/eat use things differently. It can cause grumblings if one family snacks more uses more loo roll (I kid you not speaking from a past trip) Ground rules on quiet time, waking up time in the villa. If some smaller people wake at 5am it's not ok to wake everyone else up.

Our three person trip grew to seven this week so I'm having similar thoughts.
I agree with the , if you are not ready by the agreed time then you won't be waited for , plan.
My planning is the evening before the plans for the next day are discussed and confirmed .
We have just one car but will also use Uber to allow for breakout plans.

Speaking from experience get two vehicles it can solved so many arguments. The last time we went we got a people carrier that seated up to eight which we used when we were all going to the same place and the smallest economy car to allow people to go their own way.

Two cars is an absolute must. We had one on our first trip with friends, it was a nightmare.

Last time we went it was DH & I, our 3 adult children & their partners. We had 1 large car & DH was the driver. He was strict on the time we were leaving we were in a villa & firm that we wouldn't be waiting whilst hair & make-up was done! it worked.

On an evening he was willing to drop them off & they got a taxi home.

We also had a purse & a pre paid money card, to which each couple had contributed & that was money used to pay for meals out when we all were together.
