You have to do that anyway, even on the direct train. One of the reasons I never bother.

Are there cancellations to RER trains during the strike. I got next month but we are due to fly home on a strike day. Will it affect us?

For those worrying about the RER journey from Gare du Nord on strike days there appears to be some good news at last. Eurostar are saying that direct train is going direct to Disney again during the strike on Wednesday. Fingers crossed things are getting back to normal.

No, the RER and Metro are run by a different company. The RER is like the tube, runs every few minutes.

We ended up going to Paris to get the eurostar and it was very easy so please don’t worry if you have to do that.
