US Airtours Refund - Credit Note?

We should be travelling on Wednesday on a package with US Airtours. I have received an email today asking if I would like to change the holiday or receive a refund, I requested a refund and they have sent me a Credit Note which must be used before April 2021.

Is this correct as I had wanted a full refund as both my husband and I have been out of work due to the Covid-19 crisis.

If it’s an ATOL protected package which they have cancelled rather than you then no it’s not correct you are entitled to a full refund. Even if it’s not a protected package as I imagine they can’t provide it you should be entitled to a refund although you may have to fight for it.

As above, you are entitled to a refund, they are just trying their luck

Contact them politely,repeat you asked for a full refund,and that a credit note is not what you asked for.Remind them it was an ATOL protected flight and unless they arrange the refund you are due,within 10 days you will take legal action against them.

We are booked through them in Sept. Their website under "covid refunds" says the credit note can be changed into a cash refund ?
